Maxim Integrated has launched the MAX22445 series, which are reinforced, fast and low-power 4-channel digital isolators. They are designed to transfer digital signals between circuits with different power domains using 0.74mW per channel at 1Mbps. These devices offer unidirectional channel configurations to accommodate any 4-channel design that include SPI, RS-485 and digital I/O applications. The digital isolator channels are always enabled and the default state of the outputs are selectable. They feature a data rate of either 25Mbps or 200Mbps, independent 1.71V to 5.5V supplies on each side of the isolator, and 3 direction configurations. With an operational temperature range of -40°C to 125°C, these devices are available in 16-pin wide-body SOIC packages with 8mm of creepage and clearance.
