22nA Real-Time Clock Module

SparkFun’s BOB-14558 real-time clock (RTC) module is a Qwiic-enabled breakout board for the RV-1805 chipset. It is an ultra-low power board that runs at only 22nA using a supercapacitor for backup power, and features ±2ppm time accuracy, 1.6V to 3.6V operating voltage, internal oscillators, and connectors. The built-in RV-1805 chip comes with two internal oscillators, a 32.768kHz tuning fork crystal and a low-power RC based oscillator. These oscillators can automatically switch between them using the precise crystal that corrects the RC oscillator every few minutes, which allows the module to maintain a very accurate date and time over a year. This RTC module utilizes the Qwiic system and communicates through I2C, which makes it easy to get the readings.
