Microchip Technology has launched the MCP14A0454 dual MOSFET driver IC, which offers a peak current up to 4.5A while operating from a single 4.5V to 18V supply. It features a dual non-inverting output, low shoot through current, fast rise and fall times, and short propagation delays. The active-high enable pin can be driven low in order to drive the outputs of the device low, regardless of the status of the input pins. An integrated pull-up resistor allows the user to leave the enable pin floating for standard operation. This device is highly latch-up resistant under any condition within its power and voltage ratings. It can accept up to 500mA of reverse current being forced back into the outputs without damage or logic upset. All its terminals are fully protected against electro-static discharge (ESD) up to 2kV (human body model) and 200V (machine model).
