50W Stereo Class-D Audio Amplifier for Bluetooth Speakers

50W Stereo Class-D Audio Amplifier for Bluetooth Speakers

Texas Instruments has introduced the TPA3126D2, which is a 50W, stereo, low-idle-current (15mA at 12V) class-D amplifier in a thermally enhanced package (32-pin HTSSOP PowerPAD Up). It includes the company’s proprietary hybrid modulation scheme, which dynamically reduces idle current at low power levels to extend the battery life of portable audio systems, such as Bluetooth speakers. To further simplify the design, this device integrates short circuit, thermal shutdown, over-voltage, under-voltage, and DC speaker protection. This audio amplifier has a wide voltage range of 4.5V to 26V and supports stereo, mono BTL and mono PBTL.
