Bourns’ CSM2F high power current sense resistors offer three different footprint sizes (8518, 7036, and 6918) with resistance values as low as 50μΩ, continuous current up to 1000A, and permanent power ratings of up to 50W. They are AEC-Q200 qualified with a high pulse power rating. The metal alloy current sensing element allows thermal EMF as low as 0.25μV/K and low TCRs of 50PPM/°C over the 20°C to 60°C temperature range. These resistors detect and convert current to an easily measured voltage that is proportional to the current through the device. They complement the company’s circuit-conditioning components, such as power inductors and rectifier diodes.
