Adafruit has introduced a breakout board that hosts a pulse density modulation (PDM) micro-electro-mechanical system (MEMS) microphone. The PDM sensor does not provide an analog output, like typical microphone assemblies. As a consequence it works best with chips that do not have analog inputs.
The board measures a compact 14.0mm x 12.8mm x 2.8mm and has a voltage range of 1.8V to 3.3V. It is recommended for integration with 32-bit processors that include a PDM interface.
