Texas Instruments has launched the AWR1243BOOST board to evaluate the performance of its AWR1243 high-performance mmWave sensor. The evaluation platform enables raw capture of data from the front end for RF performance evaluation.
The mmWave sensors have both industrial and automotive options. Spatial and velocity resolution can detect up to three times higher than traditional solutions. The complementary metal oxide semiconductor (CMOS) single chip sensors shrink design size by integrating an RF front end with a digital signal processor (DSP) and a microcontroller unit (MCU).
