Expansion Board to Measure Ambient Temperature

MikroElektronika has released an ambient temperature measurement device with electrically erasable and programmable read only memory (EEPROM) which can be used to permanently store system configuration. This board covers a temperature range from -55°C to +125°C with an accuracy of ±0.2°C in the range from -10°C to +85°C.

The board uses the TMP116 low-power, digital temperature sensor from Texas Instruments. The device utilizes a diode type temperature sensor with an internal sigma-delta 16-bit analog-to-digital converter (ADC) for temperature measurement and conversion.
