Silicon Labs’ Thunderboard Sense 2 is a multi-sensor, multi-protocol kit that is based on the EFR32 Mighty Gecko wireless system-on-chip (SoC). The kit can be used to develop energy friendly Internet of Things (IoT) devices. It supports proprietary stacks and standard protocols such as Zigbee, Thread and Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE).
Programming is done via a USB micro-B cable and the on-board J-Link debugger. Included on the board is an 8Mbit serial flash that can be used for over-the-air (OTA) firmware upgrades, or as general purpose, non-volatile memory.
