Low ESL, Low ESR MLCCs for Automotive Applications

TDK’s CGAE series of multi-layer ceramic chip capacitors (MLCCs) are low equivalent series inductance (ESL), automotive grade flip type capacitors. They exhibit low equivalent series resistance (ESR) and reduced impedance through a wider and shorter current route. These AEC-Q200-qualified MLCCs use reverse geometry termination type structure that is a 90° rotation of electrode on both vertical and horizontal terminations. Typical applications include EMC countermeasure and decoupling in autonomous driving systems, advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), and electronic control units (ECUs).
